The Northern Music Scene has witnessed a phenomenal boost in recent times and yes, is possible we can go head to head with the best of them nationwide, one can dare say. Our music is being heard across the Nation and our artistes can boast of having performed at national concerts with sold-out shows.
Northern music industry is a very competitive stage, as new artiste emerges almost every single day. It’s no more news that some have made it to the top already, while others are getting so close to stardom, the other very few are very good and talented but has not got the fame probably because of lack of funds.
Among the set of talents is fast-rising artiste, whose real name is , Ahmed Mohammed Basiri, with the stage name Wizchild, who has already dropped few tracks which are off his yet-to-be-released album under DMTL record and have gone viral on Internet and on some radio stations.
Wizchild in the last two years has displayed maximum lyrical dexterity through great composition of singing ability, Stage craft, lyrical arrangement in songs and constitution of variety of languages showcased. Industry critics has already positioned Wizchild as a critical threat to the likes of Fancy Gadam, VGMA new artist of the year 2017, One9ra, DON SIGLI, Lil .k, Israhim and ComDada (DEENSI).
The recent “Kings of the Throne concert” by DMTL records, proved Wizchild’s readiness to take over as the next big ‘thing’ in Northern Ghana. Audiences ossing with joy had option but to join him rock the stage.
The fact still remains that the ‘Adaha’ hitmaker has become a household name in Northern music industry and has come to stay, with constant performances at events and ceremonies. Many pundits argue that, his ‘Adaha’ hit song, shot both the DMTL record label and Wizchild to fame and multiplied his fan base within the shortest possible time.
Wizchild’s blending of Hausa language with Dagbanli, place him at an enviable position comparatively with Fancy Gadam who has an already established brand. Quick question, can Wizchild ignite a competition between already established Fancy Gadam, who has cemented his nationality?
As the years pass by, we shall surely notice that.
