The people of Tamale North Constituency in the Northern region of Ghana have advised the member of Parliament (MP) for the Tamale North Constituency, Hon Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini to apologise for his continuous misbehaviours in Parliament.
A statement signed by constituency secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr. Yakubu Abdallah Iddrisu, indicates that constituents of the Tamale North Constituency will no longer sit unconcerned to allow the member of Parliament to continue dragging the name of the constituency and its people in the mud.
“…thankfully today, the era of Chieftaincy politics is over and done with where constituents are now free to exercise their franchise base on their individual convictions that certainly will be base on policies, decency and development rather than the continued deception that has taken over the constituency all this while” he said.
“…we call on Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini to take introspection of his conduct that in no way has helped the course of this constituency since he became our representative in parliament” he added.
He further noted that apart from the mischievous and arrogant conduct, he is a “would-be” fine brain from this part of the country as he had an opportunity to learn from his senior colleagues such as Hon Inusah Fusieni, Hon Haruna Iddrisu, Hon Alban Kingsford Sumani Gbabin and senior members of Parliament.
Mr. Yakubu Abdallah, however bemoaned how Hon. Suhuyini’s continues arrogance has earned him so much resentment within the NDC as he exhibits it in and out of parliament towards the elderly, the young, men and women.
Commenting on the incident that occurred in parliament on February 6, 2019, when the law maker was sacked from parliamentary sitting, Mr. Abdallah said the Tamale North Constituency do not want to be tagged as people who were not brought up properly just because of his conduct.
“…we come from that part of the country where respect for the elderly is considered a proud value which must be exhibited at all times” he said.
“…we are therefore calling on Hon Alhassan Suhuyini Sayibu to as a matter of urgency apologise to the people of Ghana, the Parliament and the people of Tamale North Constituency for misbehaving” he advised.
